Last night I continued photographing Teresa’s little guinea pigs with my new camera. The four of us have our movie/TV show session almost every evening either at my place or most frequently at her place (or shall I say at their place?). So far we have seen a fun variety of things: James Bond’s Dr. No, two episodes of House of Cards, Leatherheads (with George Clooney), Analyze This (with Robert DeNiro), and so forth. Since our TV sessions are also TLC (Tender Love and Care) sessions with H&M, I always grasp this opportunity to take pictures of them. And now that I have a new camera I can compare the Powershot I commonly used with the brand new EOS Rebel T3 I got on Wednesday. The difference is shocking:
(June 25th. Teresa with the babies. Taken with the A2200 Powershot)
Like I mentioned yesterday, taking indoors pictures with the Powershot with no flash and little light is an inconvenience. Notice how M looks like a deformed shadow in the foreground and the colors are not vibrant in spite of the fact that I played with the contrast and exposure of the photo a bit. But now…
(June 27th. Teresa with the babies. Taken with the EOS Rebel T3)
Can you see how different these two pictures are considering they were taken under equal conditions? I didn’t have to play with the contrast an exposure too much with the last photo, and we can actually see M in the second version. Also, this second picture is sharper and possesses an orange-ish tone that I love compared with the previous one.
So if you own a Powershot or a similar camera but you also have the possibility to invest in a DSLR -even if it’s a basic one like my T3-, just go for it. I’m a DSLR believer now. The investment is definitely worth it: the quality of your photos will skyrocket!...
Adorable little piggies! ^_^
they are adorable, indeed! 🙂 ..
