I have mentioned before that one of my favorite places in Durham is Sarah Duke Gardens, and that I’m particularly attached to its red bridge for diverse reasons.
Besides the self-portrait on a pond and the photos comparing deep and shallow focuses from a rear view of the bridge that I took the other day, I photographed the gardens but this time from the bridge itself as well. I had already taken a picture from this point with my Canon Coolpix S2600) on a bright sunny day last November. On Friday, I photographed the bridge in the foreground and the gardens in the background: as you can see some leaves have started changing colors but it’s not as striking as in November. Also, it was a cloudy day so lighting is completely different. And, finally, this photograph was taken with a Canon EOS Rebel T3. What do you think?
(It doesn’t matter what season it is and what type of camera you have next to hand; the red bridge is always beautiful and magical, I promise…)
Is there a place to which you feel personally attached where you live, dear followers and viewers?…
