Today I had to take photos of the Duke women’s tennis team playing against Furman University (Duke won 7-0.) Because of some miscommunication, I couldn’t use any of The Chronicle’s sports cameras. Fortunately, I had brought my own camera with a telephoto lens; although it is a bit slower than the cameras I could have used, I was still able to get nice pictures of Duke’s team. When I arrived, we had already won all the doubles, and the team was doing quite well in singles.
Since it was the second time that I was in charge of taking photos of the women’s tennis team (and this time without “shadow” -without a person taking pictures in case none of mine turned out well-, which means they believed I could do it by myself,) I can remember some of the players. For instance, on a previous post, I mentioned Hanna Mar who won 6-1, 6-1 in singles this time:
Annie Mulholland is another member of the team, a junior originally coming from Portland, who won 6-2 and 6-3:
Next weekend they start their participation in the National Team Indoors Championship, in Charlottesville, VA. GO DUKE!…
