As promised previously, I went for a walk yesterday and took some photos of Duke campus.
I went to the chapel:
I went to the gardens as well where students were enjoying their snow day…
I even stopped by the Spanish Language Program building, where I do my office hours once a week. It was, of course, covered in snow…
But one of my main goals when I left home yesterday was taking a photo of Duke’s football stadium with a wide angle lens. In November, Nate Taylor wrote an article for the New York Times -“At Duke, Football is the New Basketball”- in which he wrote “At a university where basketball reigns, the football team is suddenly the talk of campus”. So obviously Wallace Wade stadium was a hot spot for my walk. I imagined it completely white and empty, and I was not disappointed when I got there by 5:30 pm. Not disappointed at all…
Today it’s sunny here in Durham (and 38F right now;) snow melted in the evening a bit so it must be quite wet outside. Shall I go for another walk and take more photos then? Yes, of course, I should…
