A very homy Father’s Day in Lima. For the World Cup is always a huge event for my family, my mom and I spent the entire day watching the three games going on today: Switzerland 2 – 1 Ecuador; France 3 – 0 Honduras; and Argentina 2 – 1 Bosnia & Herzegovina.
I want Argentina to win the World Cup because my favorite soccer player ever is Messi (Argentina’s captain and Barcelona’ superstar.) But I have always rooted for Brazil (except when they play against Peru, of course) so Brazil and Germany are my next candidates. Finally, because lots of Barcelona’s players defend the Spanish national team, they are my candidate number 4 (in spite of their terrible loss against Netherlands the other day; 5-1.)
My dad arrived by the beginning of the second half of France’s game and the three of us had lunch together -some potatoes with a very traditional Peruvian sauce (papa a la huancaína,) and spaghetti with some tomato sauce and chicken. We knew that restaurants were going to be quite packed today so we decided to eat out yesterday. We went to a Peruvian buffet displaying almost 50 different dishes and had a great time as these photos demonstrates:
Did you do something special, dear friends celebrating Father’s Day in different parts of the world today? Whether or not, I hope you and your family had a terrific Sunday, dear followers and visitors!…
