My dad bought me a stuffed toy today: Fuleco, the World Cup’s mascot!
Because I had to run some errands in the afternoon (like picking my first professional camera up at the technical services,) I almost missed the first half of the Brazil – Mexico game. Although the final score was 0-0, both teams had multiple options to win! Guillermo Ochoa, the Mexican goalkeeper, played the best game of his life frustrating every Brazilian attempt once, and twice, and three times, and many more times. We’ll see whether Croatia can defeat Cameroon tomorrow and make the last two games of Group A really intense and exciting.
Later, I went for a walk at my college as Russia and South Korea played for Group H. Final score 1-1 (what a blooper by the Russian goalkeeper!) Every four years, the cafeterias of my university install TVs so that students, professors, and workers can watch the World Cup in their free time or during a window between one course and another. This year is not the exception, of course, as you can see below… Well, Brazil 2014 is everywhere, my friends!…
