Today I had to run several errands, like visiting the doctor -I recently got a mild gastritis detected- and going to the bank. That’s why I only watched parts of today’s three games.
First, Netherlands had to sweat blood to defeat Australia. Just after the socceroos missed the chance to break the tie, their goalkeeper received a silly but at the same time deciding goal: 3-2. Later, Spain needed to defeat Chile if they wanted to have any bare opportunity to advance to the Round of 16. Instead, “la Roja latinoamericana” neutralized the Spanish squad and scored two goals in the first half. Spain couldn’t come back and ended up being kicked out of the World Cup. Finally, Croatia beat Cameroon 4-0.
Next Monday, Brazil has to defeat Cameroon (already kicked out like Spain and Australia) if they want to make it to the next round in the first position of Group A. Moreover, Croatia has to defeat Mexico if they want to pass this round. If they tie or Mexico wins, the aztecas will play against the leader of Group B -either Chile or Netherlands, playing the decisive game of Group B on Monday too. The Round of 16 is taking shape!
No time for photos related to the World Cup unfortunately. However, before going to bed… Two huge feline eyes: Clovis…
