Lampa is a little town about 30 minutes away from Juliaca. To get there, one can take a taxi or a van (the former is much cheaper.)
Although Puno is more famous than Lampa because of its access to Lake Titicaca, the latter is actually a hidden treasure -some people even call it “The City of the 7 Wonders.” Besides some beautiful houses, like the one you saw on yesterday’s post, Lampa has a magnificent temple, Inmaculada Concepción Church, originally built in the 17th century.
