On Saturday, I visited my friends of Hillsborough BBQ Company. Although I couldn’t see Whitney and Herman, I had nice chitchats with Alex, Ticha, John, and Ron. I was craving for some of their delicacies so I got…
… Pork nachos. It is so good!
Also, I brought a USB with some pictures I didn’t use in my documentary project. Instead of emailing all of them, I thought it would be easier if I Alex downloaded them on their computer. He got so excited about my idea that he grabbed the stick and downloaded them as soon as I arrived at the restaurant.
He always says that one of his favorite photos is the one portraying Ron with the pit: according to Alex, the photo perfectly shows the heat of the place. Of course, I saw this as an opportunity to take a metaphoto: Alex seeing his favorite photo of my project, in which he was one of the protagonists.
Finally, I was able to spend some time with Ticha and Ron after lunch: another opportunity to take more photos! The first one, in the kitchen where I spend hours and hours getting to know my friends’ lives more last spring.
The second picture: the wood in flames.
It was a neat brief reunion with the amazing people helping me in my first documentary project. I’m so grateful I picked Hillsborough BBQ Company for my project, and I’m looking forward to seeing them again, probably next month!…
