My first sports assignment for The Chronicle this semester: Duke women’s soccer team played OSU yesterday. The game was part of UNC Nike Classic tournament held at UNC Chapel Hill.
It was my very first soccer photography assignment ever so I was really excited about it. As I mentioned before, I would love to become a sports photographer in the future; soccer would be my “specialization” as one would call it in the Humanities.
Although Duke had several chances to score at least one goal, we ended up losing 1-0. The several UNC’s fans who went to the stadium to support their team playing vs. Stanford after Duke’s game celebrated OSU’s goal loudly.
Kelly Cobb (#9) was one of the most outstanding Duke’s players since she continuously tried to shake things up on the left side of Blue Devils’ attack.
Duke women’s soccer will play vs. Stanford tomorrow.
I hope the crossbars won’t prevent us from scoring goals as they did yesterday! Also, we’ll see if my editor chooses any of my pictures for the article about yesterday’s game. Fingers crossed!…
