Like I mentioned before, Slavoj Žižek visited Duke this week to give a series of seminars about culture, psychoanalysis, movies, popular culture, “and so on.” Since he has been very influential in my college and graduate education, I asked him if I could get a photo with him before he left today. And he agreed! So here it is, my photo with Žižek… photobombed by Fred Jameson, one of the big theorists in the world.
This is probably the most theoretical photobombing ever. I mean, if you’re a geeky graduate student in the Humanities, how couldn’t you get excited about a photo portraying one of them and photobombed by the other one?…
